The National Post Office (NPO) will soon begin to send SMS alerts to would-be recipients of mails from the office. The Director-General, NPO, Célestin Kayitare, said the move is geared at enhancing customer loyalty and improving service delivery. “SMS alerts will also cover the entire set of our products, including renewal of letter box subscription, parcel processing, balance on postal checking accounts and incoming mail,” he added. “We expect the service to be up and running not later than May, this year,” he told The New Times.
